在美索不達米亞考古發現表明，filigree在公元前3000年就已經被用於珠寶製作中。

腓尼基人的遺蹟中可以發現以金為底面的，超級精緻的金絲圖紋，這一藝術在公元前6世紀到3世紀之間被希臘人和伊特魯利亞人發揮到了極致。如今在羅浮宮和大英博物館中均收藏有義大利中部出土的這一時期的精美耳環和裝飾品。

⚠️注意：因為纍絲是細線纏繞出來的工藝，禁不起凹折，不會到掉到地上就會彎，但若刻意凹折是很容易壞的喔~

Archaeological finds in Mesopotamia indicate that filigree was used in jewelry making as early as 3000 BC.

Super-exquisite gold filigree patterns with gold as the base can be found in the Phoenician ruins. This art was developed to the extreme by the Greeks and Etruscans between the 6th and 3rd centuries BC. Fine earrings and ornaments from this period unearthed in central Italy can be found today in the Louvre and the British Museum.
